ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man who bit a DEA agent during his arrest has been sentenced to 11 years in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.

The U.S. attorney’s office said DeWayne Allen McGill was arrested on April 6, 2023, after law enforcement officers found 300 grams of “pure methamphetamine” in his car.

During his arrest, McGill bit a DEA agent and a Calhoun police detective. A search warrant of McGill’s apartment turned up more methamphetamine and a gun.

McGill pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, assaulting a federal officer, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

He was sentenced to 11 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
