GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - This week has been one of mourning for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Communities here in the Western Slope and worldwide are grieving both the passing of their president and prophet, Russell M. Nelson, and the tragic attack on a Latter-day church in Michigan which left four dead and eight wounded.
Russell M. Nelson died last Saturday having just celebrated his 101st birthday. Church officials say his contributions to the expansion of the Latter-day message around the world are immeasurable.
