HOUSTON (KIAH) – The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman whose body was recovered from Buffalo Bayou last week.

Officials said the unidentified woman, who is Black, about 5’3” tall and weighing 120 pounds, was found near the intersection of Commerce and Milam streets in downtown Houston on September 26. Officials hope someone will come forward with information so her next of kin can be notified.

According to the Houston Police, pedestrians spotted the body under the bridge where they were riding scooters.
