EBENSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — A piece of 2025 will soon be sealed away for future generations in Ebensburg.

The borough, in partnership with the Cambria County Historical Society, will host a time capsule ceremony Sunday, Oct. 12, at noon in Veterans Memorial Park. The capsule will be opened in 2075, offering residents 50 years from now a glimpse into daily life today.

Community Development Director Danea Koss said local restaurants are encouraged to submit menus, churches are asked to provide bulletins, and residents are invited to write letters describing their families, ages, and school or work details.

Items can be dropped off at the Ebensburg Borough building by 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, or at the Cambria County Historical Society by 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
