The 2025 Kivalliq Trade Show can add its name to a long line of successes since the event began 16 years ago, said trade show president Robert Connelly.

Connelly said from the organizing committee's perspective, every trade show is different.

What the committee noticed the most this year was a lot of really good discussion and debate around issues surrounding development in the North and how that development should occur, he said.

"When I say debate, I'm talking about good, healthy discussion," said Connelly. "People were discussing what's in the best interests of Nunavut moving forward, and how do we make important decisions moving forward, so topics such as devolution and what that's going to look like were front and centre.
