BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A student at Glen Oaks High School was apprehended after school officials were tipped off about the possibility of a gun being brought to campus.
Law enforcement was alerted Wednesday morning. According to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, the student was taken into custody after a gun was found.
The school system stated that students and staff were never in danger and that everyone is safe, adding that the school was secure during the incident.
EBR Schools released this statement in part after the incident.
