OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The City of Tabor in Iowa issued a drinking water advisory on Wednesday after its distribution system lost pressure on Tuesday.

The Tabor Water Supply is recommending boiling water before drinking it or using an alternative source.

Due to the potential for bacterial contamination, it is recommended that the water be boiled before using for drinking or cooking.

Water has been provided in the meantime with help from Hy-Vee.

It’s recommended to boil the water for one minute. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice.

Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. The water may be used for bathing and other similar purposes.
