SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Hertz has opened a new rental car location at Springfield's Union Station, offering travelers a convenient option for car rentals right next to the Peter Pan bus terminal.

The opening of the Hertz rental car agency at Union Station marks the culmination of efforts that began during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Tim Sheehan, Chief Development Officer for the City of Springfield. The new location allows travelers arriving by train or bus to easily rent a car for their onward journey.

"Rather than inconveniencing passengers of having to get an Uber over to another car rental agency, they can actually book with Hertz and ultimately come into the station, pick up the car and be ready to go," said Tim Sheehan, Chief Development Officer for the City of Springfi
