JEFF DAVIS PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Jeff Davis Parish has implemented comprehensive security measures across its schools over the past three years to enhance safety for students and staff.

The initiative, led by Superintendent John Hall, includes the installation of safety vestibules, additional fencing, cameras in hallways and weapon detectors at every school site. This effort was initiated following a security and safety analysis conducted by state police.

"About three years ago, we asked the state police to come in and do a security and safety analysis on all of our schools," said Hall.
