MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A judge will hear arguments over a lawsuit filed over the results of the election for Mobile's second city council district on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Samantha Ingram is seeking to dismiss the lawsuit filed by current District Two councilman William Carroll on Sept. 5.

Ingram won August's election for District Two, but Carroll argues Ingram did not meet the residency requirement

Ingram left Alabama in 2007 and later lived in Georgia, the lawsuit says. The suit alleges that Ingram did not re-establish legal residence in Alabama in the 12 months before election day.
