MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch confirmed a second immigration traffic stop took place on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

The traffic stop happened on Dauphin Island Parkway, almost simultaneously with the stop that led to the arrest of four alleged undocumented immigrants.

That stop led to the arrest of Gaspar Lorenzo and another man who was not identified.

The MCSO says Lorenzo was charged with attempting to elude. The second man was taken directly into ICE custody and did not face local charges. Since ICE directly took the unknown man into its custody, his identity will not be released to the public.

Originally, a press release sent out by the MCSO on Tuesday afternoon said that Gaspar Lorenzo was "one of the five arrested" during a traffic stop on Tuesday morning.
