OXFORD, Conn. — A new trail, or crawl, aims to give a real life look behind the witch culture in Connecticut.

Spooky season has officially begun in the state and it’s kicking off this year with one of the most iconic Halloween figures: witches. But instead of the green skin and hooked noses as seen in movies, the CT Witch Crawl aims to show what actually goes on in the Connecticut community.

The event started with Dustlight in Oxford, one of the 46 stores taking part in the CT Witch Crawl. The locations are known for their involvement in the pagan community and the wellness that comes with it.

The crawl continues throughout October. Each store comes with a code word that a person can use to enter into a raffle.
