SHELTON, Conn. — A brand-new, full-service gun shop has opened in Shelton , offering firearm enthusiasts more than just a place to buy guns.

MJ's Ammo Saloon, according to owner Justin Bruno, is designed as a destination where passion meets education. The shop is a long-time dream for Bruno, who said his interest in firearms began in his childhood.

“Just a typical young child, backyard, get the BB guns, the pellet guns, shooting at the cans in the backyard, like so many of us that grew up to love firearms had done in the past,” Bruno said.

He said what started as a hobby turned into a lifelong pursuit.
