Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a number of moving details in Jenny Connor's exit from Weatherfield which some may have missed.

It wasn't a surprise to some to see the character leave, 10 years after she returned to the cobbles, as actress Sally Ann Matthews confirmed her plans to exit back in August.

"I was supposed to stay for five months but ended up doing an extra ten years because I loved it so much," the soap star admitted in a social media post.

"It’s time, though, to play those parts I always hoped I would when I’d grown up. Thanks Trafford Wharf Rd for the memories and endless laughter."
