LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Ballet said it's hoping to use the story of the world’s most famous vampire to encourage people to give blood more willingly.
The special blood drive, in partnership with the American Red Cross , is inspired by the ballet’s production of "Dracula."
“We thought 'Dracula' had a fun theme to do a blood drive, just kind of combining the theatrical elements of Dracula into blood drive and donor-giving,” said Regan Nichols, Louisville Ballet chief marketing and development officer.
Nichols said Louisville Ballet is committed to helping change lives through dance, and through a community blood drive, it takes that mission beyond the performance stage and into real-life impact.
