Freshman striker Lily Veracka and eighth grade forward Sofia Babb each scored as the Westport girls soccer team knotted Holbrook 2-2 during a league home game on Tuesday afternoon.

Veracka who leads the team in scoring with 13 goals and 3 assists for 29 points, scored as the two teams traded goals in the first half.

Early in the second half, the striker dribbled the ball down the right side of the field, chased by Holbrook defenders. From 25-yards out, she lofted a cross. that clanged off the cross-bar and bounced back in front of the goal mouth. Babb crashing the goal, kicked the ball into the netting to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead.

Holbrook turned up the pressure on Wildcats junior goalkeeper Morgan Pacheco, who made six saves, and scored a late go
