ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Louisiana State Police confirmed that two Alexandria police officers were terminated and arrested for “multiple use-of-force incidents” from July 2025.
LSP said former officers Austin Butler and Dylan Tritle were officially arrested on Oct. 2 for malfeasance in office. Additionally, Butler was also charged with one count of simple battery.
As previously reported, Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy and APD Chief Gremillion addressed the officers’ behavior during a briefing on August 20. They revealed there were three separate incidents involving the officers that happened between July 26 & 27.
