Police Scotland has announced it is stepping up patrols around synagogues following a terror attack in Manchester.
The force confirmed officers were already carrying out additional and dedicated patrols around synagogues after the car and knife attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall. The incident, which has been declared as an act of terror, took place on Thursday - also Yom Kippur, the holiest day for Jews - and left two people dead.
Police Scotland said that while there is no intelligence to suggest any threat in Scotland, members of the public should "remain alert but not alarmed."
