KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a season-ending knee injury during a Monday Night Football game earlier this week.
Hill received well-wishes from around the football community after dislocating his knee and tearing his ACL during the Dolphins’ win over the New York Jets. Among those who reached out was his former quarterback, Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
“Yeah, I talked to him a little bit,” Mahomes told reporters Thursday. “But more than anything, I’m just sending prayers his way. You never want to see that happen in football. It’s part of the game but it’s a terrible part of the game.”
Mahomes said he knows Hill’s work ethic and says he believes the 31-year-old will be able to come back from the injury.
