EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) -- One person was hurt earlier this week in a crash southwest of Teutopolis, the Effingham County Sheriff's Office said.
The crash happened Monday afternoon on 1600th Street, a quarter mile north of Illinois Route 33. Officials from the Sheriff's Office said a Kia Optima was driving south on 1600th when the driver lost control.
The car went off the road and struck a culvert, flipped end-over-end and struck another culvert.
The driver was a 20-year-old male from Teutopolis who experienced an "incapacitating injury." Officials said he was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital for treatment.
