CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Hundreds of people living in Chesterfield have been voicing their concerns about Dominion Energy’s electric transmission line project in western Chesterfield.
In Aug. 2024, Dominion Energy announced the project, which the company said will meet growing energy needs in the county.
As part of the project, Dominion Energy is proposing a 160 ft. wide right of way corridor to accommodate a double-circuit 230 kV electric transmission line to support the growing energy demand.
On April 24, Dominion Energy filed an application with the Virginia State Corporation Commission, which includes a map outlining the proposed route and two alternative routes for the transmission lines.
