DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- Two Dayton radio stations made major changes Thursday, one of which returned back to an iconic radio station popular in the '90s.

In August, Connoisseur Media acquired Alpha Media, the company known for 92.1 FM WROU, 92.9 JACK-FM, 101.5 HANK-FM, HOT 102.9 FM, ESPN WING 1410 AM.

Earlier this week, both 92.9 FM, an adult hits station, and 101.5 HANK FM, a classic country station, stopped playing their typical music genres.

92.9 JACK-FM is Z93 once again

Since the afternoon of Sept. 30, 92.9 changed programming to a repeat of Ray Charles' "Hit the Road Jack."

Brett Beshore, vice president and general manager of JACK FM, teased the switch on-air, describing it as "something new begins" Thursday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m.
