DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- The government shutdown has continued to affect Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and Giovanni's in Fairborn said that while they are still getting a good flow of customers, it is hard to ignore the familiar faces absent from their seats.
Cassaundra Spaziani, owner of Giovanni’s, said that the workers from the base are just like family, but she understands the difficult situation they face in not knowing when they can return to work, necessitating a pause on dining out.
