GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - More than 30 acres have burned in a wildfire that was first noticed late this morning in Greene County.
Firefighters from multiple fire departments and the North Carolina Forest Service were called to Fire Tower Road, north of Snow Hill, around 11:40 a.m.
The Forest Service says they are continuing to work to contain the fire. Three plows, a helicopter, and a plane are being used to help extinguish the blaze.
There’s no word yet on what may have started the fire.
