BELLE CHASSE, La. —
Gov. Jeff Landry has suspended tolls on the Belle Chasse Bridge after many frustrations from customers.
In a new post to Instagram, Landry, alongside Plaquemines Parish President Keith Hinkley and Rep. Jacob Braud, said he is suspending the tolls for anyone who needs to cross. Advertisement
Earlier this week, Landry said the problems with the Belle Chasse Bridge were "caused by Governor John Bel Edwards."
Landry said his administration plans to roll out a plan to improve the bridge's value for both residents and the state.
