On average, Springfield experiences its first frost of the year around October 14th. Long-range modeling leads me to believe we won't be seeing frost this season until after that date.

Average First Freeze Date

The first freeze occurs roughly a week after our first frosting. On average, the first freeze of the year happens on October 24th for Springfield.
