A police operation in a suburban street has ended after masked, armed men were reportedly seen entering a house on the morning of October 3.
Members of the public were asked to steer clear of Wollongbar Avenue in Panania , a suburb in Sydney's south west, as the operation unfolded between 8am and 11.30am.
Police allege the raid was a targeted robbery, after a 24-year-old man was assaulted by the intruders and cash was stolen.
Superintendent Rodney Hart said the operation to secure the perimeter of the home lasted about three-and-a-half hours.
Police were told that a dark-coloured car was parked on the street before the alleged raid.
