A yellow weather warning has been issued for Cambridgeshire , with “strong and gusty winds” forecast. Storm Amy hit the UK on Friday (October 3) with amber and yellow weather warnings issued.

The Met Office has now issued a yellow weather warning for Cambridgeshire on Saturday (October 4). A Met Office spokesperson said Storm Amy will bring a “period of strong and gusty winds” to the county.

The spokesperson added: “West to southwesterly winds will strengthen and become rather gusty on Saturday, with gusts of 45 to 55 mph possible in places, and perhaps 60 to 65 mph along some exposed coasts, especially in the west, and briefly over more exposed hills inland. Winds should then gradually ease later on Saturday.”
