FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) – After their building fell into complete disrepair, Flatbush tenants now worry they’ll be left vulnerable in a massive bankruptcy sale.

It’s been years of trouble for the residents at 240 East 18th St., a rent-stabilized apartment building managed by Pinnacle Group.

“The elevator is routinely out of service, there’s leaks, there’s mold, there’s vermin infestations… the trash chute keeps having problems,” said Parker Winship, an attorney with Legal Services NYC.

The building has over 130 active violations with the Housing and Preservation Department, 37 of which are for the worst hazards like mice, cockroaches, and mold.
