LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln man arrested in connection with the severe beating and kidnapping of a woman was arraigned in Lancaster County Court on Friday.

A judge charged Dominic Williams, 36, of Lincoln, with kidnapping with first-degree assault. His bond was set at 10% of $5 million. He has been ordered to have no contact with the victim based on his previous convictions.

He will be back in court on Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.

An arrest affidavit described the events that led to Williams arrest and the hospitalization of a 37-year-old Lincoln woman.

Authorities responded to a check welfare call in northeast Lincoln on Wednesday around 8:15 a.m. The caller told police they received a text message containing a photo of the victim’s injuries and claims that she had been killed and dumped
