SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) -- Former Syracuse football star Arthur Jones passed away suddenly on Friday at the age of 39.

The Baltimore Ravens posted to X regarding the loss and his "eternal positivity."

The Rochester native and Union Endicott graduate played defensive tackle for four years at Syracuse and racked up 38.5 tackles for loss and 145 total career tackles.

The Ravens drafted him in the fifth round of their 2010 season. He played seven seasons in the NFL, Ravens (2010-2013), Colts (2014-2016) and Washington (2017), and won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens during the 2012-2013 season.
