The president of an organization that provides support and programming for adults with special needs, is calling for more support from whichever party forms the next provincial government.

Gary Furlong has been with the Geraldine Rubia Centre, which is located on Shaw Street in St. John’s, for over a decade.

He believes there isn’t much support for what they do, and when he does ask for more funding there is a lot of red tape to go through to get it.

He says their programs are currently over capacity, and they would like some support – from all three levels of government – for them to secure their own building.
