MANVEL, N.D. — She vanished into the North Dakota prairie without a trace.

It will be five years this weekend since the 48-year-old wife and mother from Grand Forks County disappeared after a party. The question remains: What happened to Anne Fitzsimonds?

Saturday, Oct. 4, marks five years to the day Fitzsimonds was last seen. The family has held out hope she would come home but realizes she is likely not coming back. They will hold a celebration of life at the Manvel Community Center on Saturday to mark the anniversary.
