In a significant political development ahead of the local body elections, the BRS district unit in Medak welcomed several defectors from BJP and Congress. Former Minister T Harish Rao, who received them alongside ex-MLA M Padma Devendar Reddy, criticised the Congress-led government for misgovernance and alleged neglect of rural administration.

Medak: Ahead of the forthcoming local body elections, the BRS district unit in Medak received a boost on Saturday as several BJP and Congress workers joined the party.

Accompanied by former Medak MLA M Padma Devendar Reddy, the workers met former Minister T Harish Rao at his residence in Kokapet and formally joined the BRS.
