CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police arrested two juveniles Friday night after recovering a stolen car during a special operation targeting car break-ins and auto thefts in the city’s West Side neighborhoods.

Detectives from the Second District spotted a car reported stolen out of East Cleveland around 9 p.m. after cameras detected it traveling through the city’s Ohio City neighborhood and Gordon Square district, according to a news release from Cleveland police. Officers found the car in a parking lot near West 73rd Street and Detroit Avenue.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, the car, occupied by five people, sped toward a dead end before all of the occupants ran in different directions, police said. Two suspects, a 13-year-old girl reported missing from Maple Heights and a 17-year-
