Driver in stalled car killed in crash in East Houston

HOUSTON – Police were investigating a deadly crash in Houston’s eastside.

They said a driver in a Nissan car stalled on I-10 and Wayside Drive at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said a driver in a Jeep they believed was speeding, crashed into the back of the Nissan.

The driver of the Nissan died at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep was cooperating with the investigation.

“Our DRE(Drug Recognition Expert) is evaluating the driver of the Jeep and depending on that outcome, will there be charges or not,” said Sgt. R. Dallas.
