Matt Baker delivered some devastating news within moments of Sunday's Countryfile.

During this autumn series, Countryfile hosts Matt Baker, Anita Rani, Sean Fletcher, and John Craven laced up their hiking boots once again to connect with inspirational youngsters whose circumstances have been dramatically improved through BBC Children in Need.

The presenters met extraordinary young people who have received tremendous support from BBC Children in Need.

While walking the stunning landscape along the Shropshire and Staffordshire border, these remarkable individuals shared their inspiring journeys, overcame their walking challenges, and drew motivation from celebrity role models.

Opening the show, Matt was joined by 10-year-old Alyssa and her dad, Phillip, from Newport, for their trek.
