HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - The Hartford Wolf Pack are set to begin their 28th season Friday night with a fresh look and renewed energy as the top affiliate of the New York Rangers.

The team will play their season opener on the road with the home opener scheduled for next Friday night at the newly renamed PeoplesBank Arena. The facility has undergone renovations and modernization in preparation for the Wolf Pack’s return.

As a Rangers affiliate, players constantly move between Hartford and New York, creating unique challenges for both athletes and coaching staff.

Team captain Casey Fitzgerald, now in his eighth season, understands the emotional toll of that movement.
