(CNN) - Foster Poultry Farms LLC has announced a recall of nearly 4 million pounds of chicken corn dog and turkey products.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the products might be contaminated with foreign materials, specifically pieces of wood in the batter.

The corn dogs and turkey on a stick products were sold nationwide, including to the Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Agriculture commodity food donations.

Officials say the California company received several complaints, which comprised of at least five that included customer injuries.

Anyone with the recalled products should return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
