MOORHEAD — Missoula Sentinel (Mont.) High School's Lincoln Rogers verbally committed to the Minnesota State Moorhead men's basketball program, setting up a homecoming of sorts for the 6-foot-8 guard.

Rogers' mother Lindsay (Shockman) Rogers played volleyball for North Dakota State. His uncle (Caleb) and grandfather (Bruce) also played men's basketball for the Bison and his great uncle, Tom Shockman, played football at NDSU and was on the 1983 national championship team.

“I’ve got a lot of ties," said Rogers, who announced his commitment Monday, Oct. 6, via social media.

Rogers is part of the 2026 recruiting class and played varsity basketball since his freshman year. Dragons head coach Jason Kemp can't comment on Rogers until he signs.
