WEST FARGO — Hope Lutheran Church is one step closer to building a church in West Fargo after a traffic study found the church is not likely to cause a large increase in neighborhood traffic, though city commissioners almost put a halt to the whole project Monday, Oct. 6.

The West Fargo City Commission was slated to approve the second reading of a zoning change and plat approval for Hope Lutheran Church on Monday.

In July, Hope Lutheran Church first requested to rezone the land between Sixth Street West and Ninth Street West, in the Wilds neighborhood, from agricultural to single-family residential use. Churches are a permitted use of land zoned for single-family residences.
