Detroit - The Tigers had a chance to take a dominant lead in the American League Division Series, but they settled for a split of the first two games in Seattle.

Still, the Tigers have home-field advantage when the series resumes in Detroit for Game 3 on Tuesday and Game 4 on Wednesday.

“Obviously, it’s a frustrating loss because every loss at this time of year is frustrating,” Tigers manager AJ Hinch told reporters Sunday night, after a 3-2 loss in Game 2 in which the Tigers tied the game in the top of the eighth inning, only then to lose the lead in the bottom half of the inning.

“But I’m obviously proud of our group and excited to get home.”
