ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis County Police are investigating after an officer-involved shooting temporarily shut down eastbound lanes of I-70 near the Blanchette Bridge.
According to police, officers responded to the interstate around 12:30 a.m. for a call for a suicidal suspect.
An officer found a woman with a firearm walking eastbound on I-70 near the Blanchette Bridge.
While trying to contact the woman, police say she pointed the gun at the officer. He fired his weapon and grazed her.
She was taken into custody and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The officer was not injured.
I-70 was shut down temporarily but has been reopened.
The investigation remains active at this time.
