HARTFORD, Conn. — Come January, there will be a new leader at Connecticut Children’s.

The hospital's Board of Directors named Shannon Sullivan, MSW, MS, as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut Children’s in Hartford . Sullivan will assume her responsibilities leading Connecticut Children’s on January 12, 2026. The board made the announcement on Tuesday.

Sullivan comes from Care New England, where she served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Women & Infants Hospital in Rhode Island.
