WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A nurse in the right place at the right time was able to help at the scene of a crash in Reno County.

Jamee Archer was heading to work Monday morning along K-14 when she saw the fatal crash between Hutchinson and Nickerson. As a nurse, she said she knew she had to act quickly, and so she jumped into action to help.

“We all just kind of seamlessly jumped in and started doing everything that we could,” Archer said. “Whether it was gloves, paper towels, clothes to dry stuff up, we were all just making trips back and forth to vehicles.”

Although Archer said she usually would be 10 to 15 minutes ahead, there was a combine in the road that was slowing traffic. This led her to be at the
