NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - Since 1998, more than $98 million has been raised for breast cancer awareness through stamp sales, and the Post Office with the top sales in the state is in New Bern.

The Post Office on Glenburnie Road is covered in pink and has been the top seller of breast cancer stamps in the state since 2017, and aims to keep that title.

They are promoting the breast cancer research stamp, which costs an extra 12 cents, with funds going towards breast cancer research.

The postmaster says that two other post offices in the state are competing for the title this year, but they’re just happy that the money raised is supporting something important.

The two other post offices competing in breast cancer stamp sales are located in Snow Hill and Fayetteville.
