An updated freeze warning was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:08 p.m. valid from 11 p.m. until Friday 9 a.m. for Carbon, Monroe, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
The weather service adds, "Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees expected."
"Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing," describes the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
