TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Pride of Arizona Marching Band celebrated a significant milestone with the installation of the Sudler Trophy into its permanent exhibit at the Jim Click Hall of Champions.

"It's a special night for our program because it's really not for the 2024 Pride, it's for the entire breadth of the program, from the people that marched in the first Super Bowl to the people that marched last year, this is an award for everyone," said Chad Shoopman, director of athletics band.

The Pride of Arizona, was awarded the Sudler Trophy by the John Philip Sousa Foundation in December 2024. Often called the "Heisman Trophy of collegiate marching band," the award recognizes the program's exceptional contributions and can only be awarded once in a program's history.
