YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - In 2015, an organization was formed in Youngstown to help people reacclimate to daily life after being released from prison. It's now celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The name of the organization is United Returning Citizens, and it's holding its 10th anniversary gala Friday night at Stambaugh Auditorium.
"It's an organization that transforms lives and helps to build our workforce in Youngstown, Ohio," said Dionne Dowdy-Lacey, executive director of United Returning Citizens. "It's a re-entry. And we've been doing this for 10 years. And we are celebrating today all of the community partners that have supported us."
