CAMAS — Armani Dukes’ tenure with Camas Papermaker football has been short, but very impactful.
Dukes, originally from Wyoming has quickly made a name — and at a new position, no less — in a new city, new state, and for a Papermakers team that improved to 4-2 overall after Friday’s 56-7 victory over Monroe at Doc Harris Stadium.
“I love it out here,” Dukes said.
Dukes had a breakout game Friday with two catches for 72 yards. Both catches went for touchdowns of 58 and 14 yards, respectively.
Dukes originally is from Thermopolis, Wyoming, a population of approximately 2,000 residents. Up until this school year, he starred in multiple sports at Hot Springs County High School. That included quarterbacking the Bobcats’ football team. Examining his future in football, Dukes relocated with fa
